  • How to access the FeatureTel Web Portal

    • Your account must have Web Portal enabled

    • From any Web Browser, go to: http://wp.featuretel.com/webportal

    • Enter your DID as the phone number (no dashes or spaces)

    • Enter your password

  • How to hook phone up to home network

    • First, you need home firewall/router (the IP Phone will not work connected directly to the cable modem
    • Modify TFTP server to [the IP address provided by FeatureTel Support]
    • Press settings button
    • then press 3 (Network Configuration)
    • then press 32
    • then press * * # (star, star, pound)
    • press the Yes softkey, setting 32 Alt TFTP = yes
    • press 8
    • press the Edit softkey
    • enter the address: [provided by FeatureTel Support] (using the * key for the 'dots')
    • press the Validat. softkey
    • press the Save softkey
  • How to listen to Voicemail remotely

    • dial into your phone (call your DID)
    • when you begin to hear your Greeting, press * (star)
    • enter passcode
  • Setting up Unified Messaging (having your voicemail messages e-mailed to you)

    • Login to the Web Portal
    • click on the Voicemail tab
    • click on the Options subtab
    • check 'Enable Email Forwarding'
    • enter your Email address in the next field
  • Setup Find-Me/Follow-Me via Webportal

    • Login to the Web Portal
    • click on Call Management tab
    • click on Find-me subtab
    • click 'Click here to Add a Find-Me List'
    • click 'Click here to Add a Find-Me Number'
    • Name = "Cell Phone"
    • Phone Number = "your 7-digit local cell phone number"
    • You can leave the timeouts at the defaults to start with, then adjust with experience with your particular cell carrier
    • click 'Save'
    • click Call Management tab
    • click Call Treatment subtab
    • click 'Add'
    • in the 'Default Forwarding' row, click on the edit icon in the Functions column
    • in the 'Default Action' drop-down box, choose Find-Me
    • click 'Add' to complete the setup
  • How to make an overseas phone call

    • Dial 9 + 011 + country code + city code + local number
  • For Canada and Caribbean countries

    • Dial 9 + 1 + area code + local number (just like a domestic long distance call)
  • How to answer a second call

    • press the Answer softkey
    • this puts the first call on hold automatically and answers the second call
    • to return to the first call, use the center (up/down) scroll key to scroll up to the first call, selecting it (dark bar)
    • press the Resume softkey
    • this automatically puts the active call on hold, or press line button *then* Resume)
  • How to make a conference call

    • call first person
    • press the Conf softkey (more, Conf)
    • call second person
    • press Conf (more, Conf)
