FeatureTel drives local and regional support to the High Performance Driving race track
APEX, N.C. (March 11, 2010) – FeatureTel, North Carolina’s premier hosted VoIP telephone services solutions company, is excited to announce its sponsorship of Jason Tower’s inaugural road racing season in his BMW Spec E30. Tower’s 2010 season includes more than two dozen races and High Performance Driving Events at well-known venues including Carolina Motorsports Park, Mid Ohio, Nelson Ledges, Road Atlanta, Roebling Road, Summit Point and Virginia International Raceway.
While FeatureTel CEO Paul Levering is new to the sport of grassroots racing, other members of his leadership team are long-time fans and supporters. “Our head of IT and technical support Jon Carnes is a big fan and good friend of Jason’s,” Levering said, “and I’ve developed an appreciation for the sport. It really is a local and regional circuit that is based on a grassroots foundation and local relationships. That is a definite connection for FeatureTel, since one of our primary business strengths is our local and regional hosted VoIP telephone service solutions with unsurpassed local customer service.”
Throughout the season, Tower will be racing with NASA and BMWCCA. He is currently preparing for the March 12-14 running of the 5th Annual Pot-O-Gold rush at Road Atlanta. Tower’s February races at Carolina Motorsports Park and Road Atlanta have also helped in preparation for this week’s race. “Our first couple of races were great experiences in learning the dynamics of wheel to wheel racing and vehicle performance,” he said. “The car is performing exceptionally well, and we’re looking forward to a fun and challenging race in Atlanta.”
Tower’s other sponsors for the 2010-2011 season are Cerient Technologies, Kirk Key Interlock, OpenNMS and Web Performance.
