Web Portal: Voice Mail Options
|
Using your Web Portal you can control important features such as Unified Messaging and message play order.
Under the Voice Mail tab, you can click on 'Options' to set the following voice mail preferences:
- Enable Email Forwarding
- Checking this checkbox enables the automatic forwarding of new voicemail messages to an e-mail address. In the Email Address field, enter the email address where you want your voicemails to be forwarded. You will still be able to retrieve the messages via your phone.
- Listen Newest Messages First
- When this box is checked, it allows you to hear your newest voice mail messages prior to listening to any others.
- Listen Priority Messages First
- When this box is checked, it allows you to hear your voice mail messages tagged as 'urgent' prior to listening to any others. (callers can tag voicemails as 'urgent' by pressing #411 after leaving their message)
- Listen Unheard Messages First
- When this box is checked, it allows you to hear your unsaved and unheard voice mail messages prior to listening to any others.
- After making any changes to this screen, click 'Submit' to apply the changes to your system.

Web Portal Feature: Call Treatment Timer
Would you like to be able to control the time your phone rings when someone calls you? By using the Web Portal you can set the "Call Treatment Delay" - anywhere from 1 to 30 seconds.
With this feature, you can give yourself more or less time to answer the phone before the call forwards to the next destination (such as voicemail).
Contact your local administrator or FeatureTel Support for more details.
