How your FeatureTel service helps you survive third party connection issues
|
Whether you are a FUSION or a SOHO client, you rely on some type of transport to connect to your FeatureTel services. But no matter what happens to a particular connection, the core network continues to process your calls.
Maybe you've heard me say it: "With Hosted VoIP, you could dig a moat around your building, completely cutting it off from the outside world, and your calls will still get through - to automated attendants, voicemail, or forwards to cell phones or other destinations. With FeatureTel, you have built-in disaster recovery that keeps you in business."
FUSION clients use a dedicated, private line (usually a T1) to connect to the FeatureTel data center. This service offers guaranteed call quality because the voice does not have to travel across the public Internet to get to us. We monitor these connections for any issues and provide proactive troubleshooting and repair when we detect any issues. Guaranteed Quality Hosted VoIP is rare since most of the rest of the VoIP world cannot offer such a guarantee.
SOHO clients use a third-party Internet Service Provider (like Cable, Internet T1, or DSL service) to connect to FeatureTel voice services. We peer with Time Warner Cable, connecting our voice firewalls directly to the TWC network to get the best possible results for voice quality.
Because you use FeatureTel for your office phone service, calls are automatically answered by your automated attendant or voicemail even if there are power problems or other service outages at your office or if there is trouble with your ISP.
No matter what happens to T1s or Internet connections, the FeatureTel core continues to process and route incoming calls - and when you call us, we are here to talk to you.
