It's an oldie but a goodie... How do your callers reach you when you are away from your desk or out of the office? Do you give them your cell phone number? Do your callers leave a message and wait for you to return and check your vociemail?
Find-Me/Follow-Me can keep you connected - on your schedule - without giving out your cell phone number!
When you set up Find-Me/Follow-Me, callers only need one number to reach you - your desk phone number. Find-Me/Follow-Me can allow callers to locate you if your desk phone is unanswered. For example:
- Important Client calls your desk phone between 9AM and 6PM (or whatever availability time you choose)
- You are in your car and cannot answer your desk phone
- Important Client hears "Please hold while I locate your party or press 1 to leave a message"
- Important Client holds, your cell phone rings - showing the Caller ID of the Client and you answer your cell phone and accept the call
or
- If you don't answer, the call is transferred to your desk phone voicemail.
You can even configure Find-Me/Follow-Me to try more than one number to find you.

Voicemail Notification
Would you like to know when new messages are left in your voicemail box when you are away from your phone? You can configure your system to call your cell phone each time a message is left in your inbox:
- Go to the FeatureTel Web Portal (http://wp.featuretel.com)
- Click Voicemail - Notification
- Choose: All Voice Mail - Notification type: Voice Call
- Enter your cell phone number
- Done!
The next time a caller leaves a voicemail message for you, the system will call your cell phone. When you answer, enter your voicemail password followed by the # sign and you will be in your voicemail menu - able to listen to the message and even call the party back with the press of a button.
