VoIP provider FeatureTel goes to the State Fair in support of Scouts

APEX, N.C. (October 11, 2010) –  Are you going to the Fair? VoIP provider FeatureTel is, and not just for fried butter and funnel cakes.  FeatureTel, which offers managed, hosted VoIP business telephone service over private networks, is going to the North Carolina State Fair in support of the Boy Scouts.

FeatureTel will be sponsoring a booth for Boy Scout Troop #75 in Fuquay Varina, N.C., as they work to raise funds to purchase a van to transport the scouts for troop outings and events.

FeatureTel’s Chief Technology Officer Jon Carnes, who has been involved in leading scouts for a number of years, spearheaded the event. “We got involved in scouting as a way to give back to the community,” said Carnes, whose two sons are members of Troop #75 and working their way to Eagle Scout status. “Scouting also reinforces the values we’d like to see instilled in our children.”

Troop #75’s booth at the N.C. State Fair will feature scouting tips, as well as food, prizes and giveaways for visitors.
