New Web Portal Features
With the recent system upgrade, the FeatureTel Web Portal received a few feature enhancements as well:
  • Voice Mail
    • Unified Messaging Controls - You can now turn on Unified Messaging and control the e-mail address to send your voicemail.
    • Message Order - You can control the message playback order. Choose FIFO (First-In-First-Out) or LIFO (Last-In-First-Out) or Listen to Priority messages first.
    • To enable or configure these options, login to the Web Portal (http://wp.featuretel.com) (feature activation required) - Under the Voicemail Menu, click on the Options Tab to view or change the Unified Messaging and Message Order settings.
  • Call Management
    • New Icons show the result of each phone call - for example, if the call was completed or if it went to voicemail. You can even see if the caller chose the Find/Me-Follow/Me option.
    • Call History Logs can be exported to a CSV file and viewed or stored in a spreadsheet.

New Billing System
Over the past few months, we have been in the process of converting to a new accounting system. The new system allows us to provide additional information on each bill - including recent payments and the status of any outstanding balances - plus, the system provides better e-mail delivery tracking information to ensure the timely receipt of each bill. Please e-mail paul@featuretel.com if you would like more information. 

Referral Credits
Like you, we rely on referrals from our clients to grow our business. We take great pride in providing effective, individualized customer service and we appreciate it when our clients share their experiences with others. To show our appreciation, we offer a referral credit for new business leads. If you provide us with an introduction to a business which becomes a new client, we will provide a referral credit of $20 per phone on your next FeatureTel bill for FeatureTel clients or a direct check for independent agents.

Feature Spotlight: 
Custom Operator Assistance Number
 
For some callers, there is nothing worse than 'Voice Mail Jail...". With your FeatureTel service, you can give them a way out! When callers reach your voice mail, you can give them the option to leave a message or dial zero (0) and reach your custom operator (which may be the auto attendant or another extension). By default, the system will route callers to the auto attendant when they press zero while listening to your voicemail greeting. You can change the destination from the voice mail main menu.
 
TIP: If you use this option, when you record your greetings, be sure to tell callers that they can press zero (0) to be transferred to the auto attendant or to your designated alternate extension.
 
To hear or change where pressing (0) goes, follow these steps:
  1. Access the voicemail system.
  2. Press 8 to hear or change your custom operator selection.
  3. You should hear an announcement that your custom operator is an extension you previously programmed or the default selection.
  4. Do one of the following:
    • Press 1 to change your custom operator number, see step 5
    • Press 2 to restore the default custom operator, see step 6
    • Press * to return to the voice mail main menu, see step 7
  5. If you pressed 1, enter your custom operator number, press # and listen to the confirmation announcement.
  6. If you pressed 2, listen to the announcement that your default custom operator has been restored.
  7. If you pressed *, listen to the voice mail main menu.
